Two new sources of California travel information

Visitors to California, whether by RV or other means, have two new sources of information -- a new app for iPad users, and the just released 2012 California Official State Visitor's Guide and Travel Planner.

The iPad app allows users to browse must-see destinations, create customized itineraries, find guides for California adventures, see real-time reviews of restaurants, lodgings, attractions and more.

The annual visitor's guide is 204 pages this year and is distributed free to visitors around the world. It covers the state's 12 distinct regions with helpful travel information and suggestions, and includes helpful maps. This year's edition includes features on off-the-beaten path trips through the state's river towns and showcases urban finds like the state's microbreweries. It also provides 32 regional trip ideas. You can order a copy of the visitor's guide at the Visit California website.
