Volunteer for park maintenance and habitat restoration projects at California State Parks

Become a Park Champion and help with park maintenance & habitat restoration projects in California state parks. Help us restore valuable plant and animal habitat at Candlestick Point or Half Moon Bay, or help restore historic orchards at Olompali and Burleigh Murray Ranch.

Candlestick Point State Recreation Area - This Friday!
Friday, January 31, 9:00am to 1:00pm

This workday will assist Literacy for Environmental Justice at their native plant nursery. Projects include: carefully collecting and sorting seeds, and propagating, replanting, and repotting native plants. Teens 16 and up welcome with a legal guardian. See a map here.
Half Moon Bay State Beach - This Weekend!Saturday, February 1, 9:00am to 12:00pmThis family-friendly workday is part of an ongoing habitat rehabilitation project at Half Moon Bay. This is a great opportunity to help restore the natural environment and learn about the importance of native plants. Kids 12 and up welcome with a legal guardian. See a map here.
Olompali State Historic ParkSaturday, February 15, 9:00am to 1:00pm (photo top)This workday will focus on pruning fruit trees in the historic orchard. Basic pruning technique training will be offered. Teens 14 and up welcome with a legal guardian. See a map here.
Burleigh Murray RanchSunday, February 16, 9:00am to 1:00pmThis workday will focus on pruning, weeding, and spreading mulch in the historic orchard. Teens 16 and up welcome with a legal guardian. See a map here.
